Tuition Classes

How long is each lesson?

Each lesson is 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes) and incorporates meticulous coaching and engaging hands-on activities.

How many students are there per class?

Will my child be given assignments?

Some assignments are to be expected. Students will not be given too much work, as we understand that they have homework and other co-curricular activities as well.

Where are the assignments from?

Our experienced educators craft the assignments in-house. These materials are reviewed and revised annually to ensure that they comply with the MOE syllabus.


What happens if my child misses a lesson?

Make-up lesson will be arranged if an MC is submitted. If your child is unable to attend due to school activities such as CCA or fieldtrips, he/she has to inform the centre seven days in advance for the centre to arrange a make-up lesson. All cancellations and changes to the schedule should be made to the Administrative Department at least 24 hours in advance via 92300185 and/or 67770061


When are fees due?

Fees are to be paid by the 26th of every month. Late payment fees are charged at $10 per week

Do I need to pay for deposit?

There is a 4 lesson deposit fee payable for all new students for the subject registered at the 1st payment. This means that we collect 8 lesson fees in advance. The first 4 lessons serve as the normal class fees while the other 4 lessons serve as a 'withdrawal deposit'. This means that if the student wants to withdrawal from our centre, he/she will need to give us a month notice upon the submission of the withdrawal form. We will use the deposit to offset the following month tuition fee.

Is there refund of the deposit?

Deposit will not be refund in any circumstances. Deposit(s) will be strictly used for offset and no multiple subjects, sibling, or term discount will be applicable. If a student’s parent opts for term payment, he/she must complete the term and use the deposit to offset the last month's school fee. For example, if the term payment is until the end of January then the deposit offset will be for February.

What if there are 5 weeks in a month?

In cases where there are 5 weeks in a month, Kim & You Academy will prorate the fees accordingly. E.g. 4 lessons cost $300. On the month that has five weeks, the school fee will be tabulated this way: $(300/4)*5 = $375.

Will there be tuition classes on public holidays?

Kim & You Academy is closed on all public holidays, unless informed by the Management. Therefore, there is no lesson on all public holidays.

Is there any semester break?

Kim & You Academy is closed from 23rd December to 1st January of every calendar year. No school fee will be imposed during this period thus no makeup lesson is required.

What if my child wants to stop tuition?

If you wish to discontinue classes at Kim & You Academy, you must inform the Administrative Department at least one month in advance. The deposit can only be used to offset the last month's school fee upon graduation or termination. No refund of deposit in our Academy.
